A real 3D world of cubes — with your monster, or online with other players.
Cubes is a living 3D world where anything can be built and anything taken apart. You don’t play it alone: your monster, the one with horns and a screen for a face, really plays along. It finds its way round obstacles, fetches what you ask for, puts up torches, stands up for you and warns you of danger. Say build a lighthouse
— and the monster builds it, block by block. Online you can play with other people too: up to eight players in one world, each with a monster of their own.
Ask, and the monster brings what you need, finding its way round obstacles.
Getting dark? The monster lights the place up.
A shelter for the night straight away — and, on your word, a cottage, a lighthouse or a windmill.
Spots danger, tells you in time — and stands up for you when it counts.
Out loud and in the chat, right in the middle of the game.
Goals to reach, one after another — there is always something to go for.
Say build a cottage
, and the monster picks a spot nearby, turns the door towards you and builds with its own hands, block by block: the foundation, the walls, the roof — and then flowers by the porch. Where it is high, it puts up scaffolding and takes it down afterwards. On the way it tells you how it’s going: Laying the foundation!
, Now the roof!
, Done! Come on in!

And three quick jobs on your word, with no blueprint at all:
Build a shelter
A quick shelter around you for the night, when the night creatures come out.
Flatten the ground here
Level ground around you: 11×11 — or 7×7 if you ask for a little
, 17×17 if you ask for a bigger one.
Dig us a cave
A 5×5 room with torches, dug into a hillside — or, with no hill nearby, underground, down a flight of steps.

in My worlds

The arena and Hani’s story stay in single play.
The start menu opens right over the living world. Pick Survival — or Creative, and simply build.

Go down into mines and old ruins after diamonds. Villages are home to monster-neighbours: trade with them for stars and take on their quests.
And there is Hani, the white wolf: tame Hani — and ride.
A duel on islands hanging in the void. Guard your bed — and break the monster’s.
The monster’s strength adapts to yours, so roughly half the matches end in your favour: winning is never a given, and never out of reach.
The finale is Hani’s story. A portal lit by a star leads to the Moon. Gravity is low there — every jump is long and high. Moon hares and other kind moon folk live there, and the moon house keeps the secret of Hani’s crescent.
At the very end comes a scene of the three of you together: you, your monster and Hani.

Dad and younger daughter Leya
Hani is a white wolf drawn by Leya, the author’s daughter — with a dark crescent moon and a blue star between the eyes.
Where to find it. Cubes lives inside the My AI friend app for Android: open What shall we do?
and pick it from the list of games. Online play is on the Cubes title screen; the builds are under the little house button at the top — or just ask the monster.
The game is with testers now, together with the whole My AI friend app. Meanwhile, come and meet the monster.
